Doing Business with SJSU

The number of authorized university officials with procurement authority is very limited. To ensure prompt payment, we encourage all vendors, contractors, and suppliers to request a purchase order, university contract, credit card, or check before providing any products or services to the university.

The authorized purchasing authority for San José State University is centralized in Procurement & Support Services. In addition, there are three other business entities affiliated with San José State University:

• Foundation
  Purchases products and services for the university with funds obtained through research grants and charitable contributions.
• Spartan Shops, Inc.
  Purchases products and services for Spartan Bookstore, Spartan Dining, and Spartan Stadium.
• Student Union, Inc.
  Purchases products and services for the Event Center, Aquatic Center, and Student Union.
