Certification Training

Spring 2008 Mediator Certification Training March 24, 25, 26,27, & 28

8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Clark Hall Room 224

The intensive training covers the basics of mediation and prepares attendees to co-mediate disputes for the Mediation Program. Through a combination of exercises and role-plays, attendees will learn dispute resolution and communication skills within a constructive and empowering approach to conflict management.

 

By successfully completing the 5-day training, participants will receive certification from the Santa Clara County Dispute Resolution Program and become eligible to co-mediate student and staff disputes for the Mediation Program The Mediation Program offers the training in conjunction with Human Resources Service Group and the Santa Clara County Dispute Resolutions Program Services to a limited number of SJSU students, staff and faculty.  This year's training is sponsored by the division of Student Affairs.  Please see information regarding registration on events this spring.

 

To attend the training, please complete an application and return it to Student Conduct & Ethical Development in person at Adm. 218 or by fax at 408 924-5883.   Applicants selected to attend will be notified by Wednesday, March 19, 2008.
