San José State will host the San José Neighborhood Leadership Institute on Saturday and Sunday, November 14 and 15, in Clark Hall. Michael Fallon, Center for Community Learning and Leadership associate director and sociology lecturer, plus 15 of his students helped organize the event for more than 100 neighborhood leaders from throughout San José. Workshops include "Young People as Leaders in Community Change" and "Leading in Challenging Times." Sponsors include Neighborhood Housing Services Silicon Valley, NeighborWorks America, and the Strong Neighborhoods Initiative, a program of the city of San José and the San Jose Redevelopment Agency.
